A Bahamian salvage and towing company with an established track record of success. We specialize in towing damaged yachts and are specifically equipped for dead-ship operations. With redundant critical systems and satellite communication, our long range towboat is equipped to deliver your yacht safely to its destination. Our flagship VIGILANT has put more than 20,000 miles beneath her keel since joining service with us.
ABOUT US
Salvage Master Roston McGregor has held this position since 2016 but has been a waterman since birth and operating boats since at least the age of five. Growing up helping his father with tasks in his mooring field, he absorbed from a young age the physics of boating and an intuitive understanding of the forces at play. He has carried that with him and used it to forge the salvage and towing company he still heads today. He has carefully chosen the vessels and their equipment, to meet the unique challenges and particular needs of working in the Bahamas. He has established good working relationships with major US-based marine towing companies and insurance underwriters the world over.
VIGILANT
The UTB 41 designed and built by the US Coast Guard, is a powerhouse famous for its maneuverability and bulldog toughness. VIGILANT is powered by modern twin 450-horsepower Cummins marine diesels. She brings the level of offshore capability that working in this region requires. Since our tows average upward of 150 miles, she is no day boat! She is equipped with first rate towing gear, a cutting edge electronics suite with redundant critical systems and satellite communication. She also carries a consignment of salvage equipment including crash pumps, dive compressors and shoring and patching materials.
VALIANT
The panga hull is world-renowned for its ability travels at high speeds over open ocean. That's what makes it the perfect platform for a rapid- response salvage and towing vessel. VALIANT has been called upon on many occasions to respond quickly to vessels in distress hundreds of miles away! She is ready at a moments notice to run at over 30 knots, for upwards of 300 miles.
